Doctor Majd
is an experienced psychologist with over 25 years in the field of psychology. She earned her Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology in the United States and holds both a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in general psychology. Fluent in three languages and deeply familiar with diverse cultures, Dr. Majd brings a compassionate and inclusive perspective to her work. Her early research on substance abuse earned multiple awards, and her later studies on children and adolescents in schools and neighborhoods received wide recognition. A strong advocate for early prevention, Dr. Majd believes that emotional and mental health begins in early childhood.

Ketab Corporation presents the 10th Tehran Book Fair, Uncensored, featuring prominent Iranian writers, scholars, and researchers living abroad. The event will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Ketab Corporation in Pacoima, California. Dr. Bahram Ghadiri will speak from 1:00 to 1:30 PM on “From Soil to Imagination: How Archaeological Discoveries Become Children’s Stories.” Bijan Khalili will present from 1:30 to 2:00 PM on “From Poetry to Prose: The Reflection of a Suppressed Nation’s Quest for Justice in Persian Literature,” followed by a selection of books published by Ketab Corporation. From 2:00 to 2:30 PM, Dr. Maryam Majd will discuss “Social Issues Among Iranians and Effective Ways to Prevent Them.” Bijan Khalili will return from 2:30 to 3:00 PM to speak on “Two Centuries of Silence: From Controversy to a Lasting Place in Iranian Cultural Memory” and introduce additional publications. Visitors can explore the latest titles from Iranian publishers abroad, browse more than 15,000 books published in Iran, enjoy special book-fair discounts, and receive complimentary books, CDs, and DVDs while supplies last. The event will be held at 12701 Van Nuys Blvd., Unit H, Pacoima, CA 91331.

Dr. Majd’s Mantra means: "Every eye sees the world in its own light — honor the difference, and you’ll find connection."
She is the author of a 10-book children’s prevention series, designed to teach kids how to recognize and protect themselves from abuse and vulnerability. The first book, The Sun, is available on Amazon for children aged 4–8. Upcoming titles include Charlie, Why Tell No, Janet Is at the School, Neighborhood, and Who Is Your Friend. In addition, she authored two books on substance abuse and treatment in 2011 and has produced several educational documentaries on YouTube.
